The easiest vegetable to ferment is cabbage. Since cabbage is a very tasty vegetable and is easy to prepare without much effort why ferment it? Fermented foods provide you with probiotics known as good bacteria that promote good health by keeping your microbiome intact. The microbiome is the active bacteria lifeform that pushes your bad bacteria into a corner keeping it from making your sick with a disease. There are many different ways you can consume fermented foods in general. Cabbage is not easy, but it is versatile and now available in different specialty or health food stores.
